The Canadian Luge Championships are back.

This weekend, the nation's top lugers will once again test their mettle against the world-class twists and turns of the Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC).

Junior athletes will go first, on March 8 at 11:30 a.m. Then March 9 will see a doubleheader, with youth taking on the Continental Cup at 11:30 a.m. followed by the seniors at 2 p.m.

Embyr-Lee Susko won two gold medals at last year's Canadian Championships, and will look to defend her title against a bevy of fellow Canucks including 2022 Beijing Olympian Trinity Ellis, Caitlin Nash and Midori Holland.

Back in February, Susko ascended to Junior Luge World Championship silver in what has truly been a breakout season for the Whistlerite.

Spectating is free. Visit the WSC website for more details.
