Sporting goods and clothes totalling approximately $4,000 were reportedly stolen from an Alpine home on Saturday, April 11.
It appears the suspect entered the home on Chalet Drive by breaking a backdoor and removing the doorknob, police said.
Laptops, iPads reported stolen from Nordic Drive home
Residents of a home on Nordic Drive are without several thousands dollars worth of computer equipment after their house was broken into on Saturday, April 11.
The roommates all shared the second floor of the house, and left at around 11:30 p.m. the night prior. Upon returning, they discovered four Apple laptops, two iPads and a small amount of change missing.
Whistler RMCP said it appears entry was gained though a window that was left open.
Police have examined the scene for possible fingerprints, and the investigation is ongoing.
TV allegedly stolen from Whistler hotel room
A suspect made off with a new TV after allegedly breaking into a village hotel room on Saturday, April 11.
It appears the suspect gained entry through a top-tilting window on the balcony, where hand marks were visible, said Staff Sgt. Steve LeClair. It’s likely the culprit exited through the balcony window.
The investigation continues.
First weekend of WSSF ‘fairly uneventful,’ police say
The biggest party of the year has turned out to be rather tame so far, according to Whistler RCMP, who issued a handful of tickets over the World Ski and Snowboard Festival’s first weekend.
On Friday, April 10, police issued five violation tickets for a variety of minor offences, including public intoxication. The following day saw seven tickets handed out.
World Ski and Snowboard Festival continues until April 19.
