I stopped to help at the scene of a collision northbound on the corner before Murrin Lake. There is absolutely no shoulder and no way for the rider to navigate unless they get off their bike and walk in the ditch. It is a passing lane, a cube van (it was being passed) hit the cyclist's elbow - open humerus fracture, initially unconscious - helmet split, other injuries as well.
Re: “No soft landing for Whistler's ski jumps”
The IOC should get rid of the Sliding and Ski Jump sports. They are horrendously expensive and have an extremely narrow user group. What I don't get is why they got rid of Softball from the Summer Games. This is a sport with minimal equipment required and great accessibility for countries with little infrastructure.
