Electromagnetic waves comprise a very broad spectrum of frequencies, each with their own disparate properties. It's true that man has evolved bathed in these waves, but some more or less than others. The level of microwave radiation exposure in a typical city is now billions of times higher than what man evolved with. To extend your analogy with the Sun, imagine if the Sun's intensity were increased by 10 billion times. Do you think that would make a difference, or highly laughably to you, be harmful?

Reductio ad absurdum.
