COSCUSA finds replacement for Perry

Colorado Ski Country USA has filled the spot of president and CEO, left empty by former Whistler resident David Perry.

Colorado Ski Country USA has filled the spot of president and CEO, left empty by former Whistler resident David Perry.

Rob Perlman will take up the new position with CSCUSA, moving from Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in California where he was executive director of marketing and sales.

He is filling the shoes left by Perry, a former Whistler-Blackcomb employee. Perry joined Aspen Ski Company in a senior vice president position.

In Perlman’s four years at Mammoth, sales in season’s passes increased from $2 million in revenue to $10 million.

He received four National Ski Areas Association national awards for the best marketing and sales campaigns (one in 2002, two in 2001 and one in 2000.)

"The Board of Colorado Ski Country USA is delighted to have found a new leader for our association. Rob has a proven track record and is a great talent who is ready for the opportunity to keep the energy going in Colorado that has been built over the last couple of years," said Pat O’Donnell, president of Aspen Skiing Company, board chairman for CSCUSA and a former president of Whistler Mountain.

Perlman said he is excited to make the move too.

"Colorado has always been home for me and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to come back to the nation’s capital of skiing and represent our 24 resorts," he said.
