After making $3,400 in a spring book sale for the Whistler Secondary and Spring Creek elementary school libraries, parents are organizing another sale for the Thanksgiving weekend.

The bins are already out, at Nesters Market, TD Canada Trust in Marketplace and the lobbies at Whistler Secondary and Myrtle Philip schools, for book donations. Hard cover, soft cover, fiction, non-fiction – organizers are accepting them all. They are also accepting used magazines and videos.

Any books received that are suitable for either school library will be set aside and will not become part of the Oct. 12-13 sale.

Approximately 1,000 books collected at the spring sale were set aside for the Spring Creek library.

The sale will take place in front of the IGA in Marketplace.

Anyone who has a lot of books they would like to donate, or would like to volunteer to help out or is looking for more information, can call Jane Reid at 604-932-3665.
