A group of 20 Whistler runners took part in the Pacific Road Runners Half Marathon in Vancouver on Feb. 9, and almost all of them finished the race in under two hours.
Close to 2,000 runners participated in the 21 kilometre race, which was geared to first-timers.
Ian Goard was the top Whistler runner, finishing 15 th overall and third in the mens 30 to 34 category with a time of one hour and 16 minutes.
Kristina Rody finished third among women and 46 th overall racing in the 25 to 29 age group with a time of 1:20:48.
Daniel Havens was 97 th overall, and 15 th in the 45 to 49 group with a time of 1:27:08.
In the same age group, Eric Nadin was 26 th out of 158 runners, and 193 rd overall in 132:02.
Tracey Garneau was 16 th out of 207 in the womens 30 to 34 group, and finished 249 th overall in 1:34:35.
Walter Walghram finished in 1:34:55, and was 37 th in the mens 45 to 49 group.
Stephanie Rochon was 360 th overall, and 24 th in the womens 25 to 29 group with a time of 1:38:41.
Becky Viminitz finished in 1:39:02, 373 rd overall and eighth in the 20 to 24 category.
Christina Halcrow was 297 th , and 27 th in the womens 30 to 34 group in 1:40:06.
Craig Hill was 53 rd in the mens 30 to 34 group, and 430 th overall in 1:41:01.
Mike McGuire was 74 th in the mens 35 to 39 group in 1:41:59, and 466 th overall.
Brenda Flann finished in 1:43:06, was 508 th overall, and 86 th in the womens 40 to 44 category.
Mae Palm was first overall in the womens 60 to 64 group and 675 th overall in 1:47:32.
Richard Shallard finished in 1:48:01, and was 689 th overall and 105 th in the 40 to 44 category.
Jodi Somerville was 754 th in 1:49:21 and 66 th in the 30 to 34 category.
Whitney Reynolds finished in 1:50:51, 822 nd overall and 45 th in the 25 to 29 group.
Ardeen Misanchuk finished in 1:51:59, 865 th and 78 th in the 30 to 34 category.
Margie Barnard and Ellen Stapleton finished 2:10:45 and 2:10:48 respectively.
