Skiers, boarders go Atomic

The first of three Atomic Supercross events on the calendar this winter took place on Thursday, Feb. 22 on Blackcomb Mountain with a strong turnout of riders and skiers. The next events are on two Thursdays, March 4 and March 18.

The next events are on two Thursdays, March 4 and March 18.

The cost is $25 for amateurs and $30 for pros, and includes an opportunity to win from a selection of draw prizes – a pair of Atomic SX9 skis, an Atomic Don snowboard and a Nintendo Game Cube.

In the first week the skis went to Andreas Jonsson, the snowboard to Tyler Hill and the Game Cube to Rolland Hould.

In addition, there are prizes for the top three racers in all categories at the awards ceremony at the Crab Shack.

To register for the next event, drop by any Whistler-Blackcomb Guest Relations or Ski School Sales location or call the reservation centre at 1-800-766-0449. You can also register on event day until 9:45 a.m. in the Rendezvous Lodge.
