The facilities offer a pottery lab, painting/printmaking room and a darkroom, with the recent acquisition of an etching press and three photo enlargers.
Hirano said the studio would be open to all artists and creatively inclined community members following a brief orientation.
"There are many creative people here in Whistler, some newer to the area than others, who would love to have an opportunity to practice their creative knowledge, mix with other creative people and learn some new skills," she said.
Those interested in making use of the open studio are encouraged to attend a workshop/meeting at Whistler Secondary School on Thursday, April 7, 7-9 p.m.
