World class comedian jugglers the Gizmo Guys bring their dexterous tomfoolery and witty cracks to the Millennium Place stage tomorrow evening (Friday, April 22).
Hailing all the way from New York City, the Guys – a.k.a. Allan Jacobs and Barret Felker – have won acclaim for a rapid-fire act that appeals to audiences of all ages.
Both Jacobs and Felker have been performing since 1977 and joined forces in 1987. In addition to an active touring career performing for both live and TV audiences around the world, the duo have taught at the world’s top circus schools and clown colleges and have been honoured with several international juggling awards.
The Gizmo Guys are appearing in Whistler as part of the Whistler Arts Council/MY Place 2004/05 Performance Series. Tickets to the show are $15 for adults, $9.99 for students and seniors. The all-ages nature of the event also enacts the special youth program rate of $2 for the first 10 youth tickets sold. Kids must be in attendance to receive the special youth rate.
The Performance Series wraps up June 4 with improvisational theatre troupe Dufflebag Theatre’s interactive performance of Peter Pan.
