The Whistler RCMP are still investigating an armed robbery that took place on Friday, Aug. 19 at the Scotia Bank located on Franzs Trail in Creekside.
According to the RCMP, a male entered the branch shortly before 11 a.m. and produced a handgun. He demanded money from the tellers, and they complied with his demand before the suspect fled with an unspecified amount of cash.
The Whistler-Pemberton RCMP are following several leads, and are hoping to release a description of the suspect and a security video from the bank to get the publics assistance with the investigation.
There were no physical injuries as a result of the robbery, and no updates to the investigation as of press time.
