What: LOST LAKE LUNAFLIKS Grab your lawn chair and blankets and head to Lost Lake to watch the Beastie Boys’ first ever concert music DVD, Awesome; I...Shot That filmed by 50 audience members at their 2004 Madison Square Gardens show. The film begins at dusk. Entry is $5, $3 with LUNA card. For info check the LUNA hotline at 604-902-0769. Film will be cancelled in the event of rain.

What: PEMBERTON BARN DANCE It’s that time of year again to dig out your cowboy hats and boots and get ready to party! This year’s barn dance features Appaloosa and Hay Fever. Tickets purchased before July 15 are $25, $30 thereafter and are available at The Pemberton Trading Company, Pemberton Esso, Pemberton Valley Supermarket, The Whistler Question and more! A shuttle bus service will be available.

What: SADDLE SORES Locals Dave Clark and Gavin Reed will ride their stationary bikes for 24 hours to raise money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. There will be a fundraising pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday July 23 where you can encourage Clark and Reed to finish the last three hours of their ride! What: BANDS AGAINST HUNGER Five bands, three DJ’s, BBQ, raffles and free boat rentals are all part of a Whistler Hostel fundraiser – Bands Against Hunger. A free shuttle will run from the conference centre from 2-6 p.m. Call 604-932- 5492 for info.
