The Whistler Chamber of Commerce will be seeking a new president with the upcoming resignation of Louise Lundy, who will leave the job in September.

Fiona Famulak, chair of the chamber’s board of directors, confirmed to Pique that Lundy will be resigning, although she is staying in the job for the next two months.

In two and a half years as president of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce, Lundy has overseen a number of initiatives, most recently the Phoenix housing development, which will provide temporary housing for Whistler employees next winter and through the 2010 Olympics. The homes will be located on the Holborn property, the location of the Whistler Racquet Club and Wildwood Bistro and Bar, and will provide nearly 300 beds.
