The Whistler RCMP have released security camera stills of a man wanted in connection with the Dec. 7 break-in of a local grocery store.

A security guard responded to an audible alarm at 2:22 a.m. When he arrived he discovered that the front doors had been pried open and the lock damaged. The RCMP attended and discovered that a lottery ticket case and computer till were missing.

A surveillance camera caught the theft and this week stills from the footage were released to the public to ask their assistance in identifying a man in the images. The footage is grainy, but it appears to be a white male with brown hair and a trimmed goatee. He was wearing a black hat with white cross-hatching and a jacket or hoodie that is white with black arms and black hood.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044 or CrimeStoppers at 1-604-669-TIPS (8477).
