Whistler's street art is being brought inside out of the cold with a new exhibition.
Beautiful Vandals displays the graffiti of 13 artists on the walls of the Scotia Creek Gallery in Millennium Place.
The show opens on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The 19+ exhibition opening coincided with Tokyo Police Club's concert in the same venue. There will be food, drinks, a furniture auction and a sale of custom-decorated Vans shoes made by the artistis.
The works ask the public to consider street art's cultural merits and as a positive means of expression despite its bad reputation.
The participating painters are Scott Sueme, Taka Sudo, Kris Kupskay, Baz Carolan, Soak, Pepe, Dork, Mark Ollinger, Stan Matwychuck, Grominator, Chad Coates, Monty Montgomery and Mia Dungeon.

Whistler Mountain Adventure school Speakers Series is holding an evening of talks on life in the backcountry.
Professional snowboarder and Olympian Justin Lamoureux is speaking about his adventures in split boarding in the local terrain.
With 24 years' experience on a snowboard Lamoureux talks about how the newer technology of splitboarding impacts how he travels.
World-class climber Will Stanhope talks about Big Granite Dreams — rock climbing on the finest lines.
He reviews his many first ascents and difficult climbs in places like Squamish and Yosemite.
Avalanche expert Scott Aitken looks at managing avalanche risks in different snow climates.
Aitken has been an avalanche technician for the B.C. Ministry of Transportation for 29 seasons, responsible for keeping highways safe, including the terrain above the Duffey Lake Road.
The talk takes place at Millennium Place on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are for 19+ and cost $16.50.

Refresh Market opens in Squamish
Squamish's largest indie marketplace opens for the sixth time in November.
Refresh Market will have over 70 vendors from Pemberton to Metro Vancouver. Handmade and vintage clothing will be for sale, along with accessories, homeware, children's goods and artisan food products.
"Refresh has been curated to ensure a unique shopping experience," said co-organizer Shannon Lorenz.
The market takes place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at West Coast Railway Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission to the event is $2, free for children under five.
