It's that time of the year again — by now Whistler residents should have received their annual tax notices in the mail.

Property taxes are due by July 2 — anyone who hasn't received a tax notice should contact the Resort Municipality of Whistler immediately.

The RMOW is encouraging property owners to sign up for MyWhistler at www.whistler.ca/onlineservices if they wish to view their tax information online.

Taxes can be paid through Canadian financial institutions, in person at Municipal Hall (located at 4325 Blackcomb Way), after hours by depositing a cheque in the secure drop box at Municipal Hall or by mail (4325 Blackcomb Way, Whistler BC, V0N1B6).

Taxes can also be paid via pre-authorized payment.

Credit cards are not accepted for property tax or utility fee payments.

A late penalty will be applied to all taxes not received by July 2.

If eligible, property owners must claim their homeowner grant by the property tax due date to avoid late payment penalty.

Grants can be claimed online at whistler.ca/online services using the access code and folio number on your tax notice.

Grants can also be claimed in person at municipal hall, or by completing the application at the bottom of the tax notice and mailing it to municipal hall by July 2.

Canadian financial institutions will no longer accept and forward homeowner grant applications to the municipality. Property owners are reminded to apply for the homeowner grant by the property tax due date, even if they will not be making a payment.
