The accolades keep coming for Whistler Blackcomb making it one of the top spots in the world to ski and snowboard.
This year it takes six "best overall" wins from top publications like SKI Magazine and Freeskier Magazine as well as ski websites with a further 15 category wins from "Best in Snow Business" from the Canadian Ski Council to Best Off-Piste from Powderhounds.com.
In particular, Whistler Blackcomb highlighted the recognition from SPIKE Marketing out of the United Kingdom for highest rated resort in the world for customer satisfaction and performance or the so-called Net Promoter Score.
SPIKE's survey involved 18,000 respondents in the U.K. who ranked Whistler Blackcomb as the top resort in the world they would recommend to a friend or a colleague based on quality of skiing, accommodation, value for money, restaurants and bars, lifts and activities outside skiing.
Whistler Blackcomb's senior vice president of marketing and sales, Stuart Rempel, said the team was thrilled with the recognition.
"Theses awards are a credit to Whistler Blackcomb's focus on improving every aspect of our business," he said.
"We start with amazing physical assets — our mountains and reliable snow. Then we layer in our huge lift infrastructure and our commitment to the environment.
"On top of it all are our people. The guest relations team, groomers, snow markers, terrain park rangers, instructors, patrollers, front line staff and everyone in between all work together to exceed our customers' expectations. We believe this approach is why Whistler Blackcomb is consistently ranked the Number 1 resort in North America and positions us among the best in the world."
