      <![CDATA[The fact that the new development permit guidelines for wetlands and riparian areas in the OCP go beyond provincial regulations is a plus; provincial regulations are very lax and short-sighted, as previous bad development in Whistler which has been guided by these shows. Developers have NO IDEA about the need and value of wetlands and how properly to deal with them.
