The Edgewater Lodge and restaurant recently posted a Facebook update to warn people that the ice on Green Lake is not thick enough for walking after a woman went through the ice. She was fine and no emergency services were required. She was following kiteboarding tracks at the time of the incident.

The lake is popular with "snowkiters," but they put less weight on the ground than walkers, snowmobiles and other users. Please use caution when using the area.
