The municipality’s Financial Analyst, Lisa Landry, will be presenting the Five-Year Financial Plan to council at the next meeting on Monday, April 5.
The plan will reveal the budget for 2004-2008, breaking down the work plan, the capital budget and the operating budget. It will also have the mandates for each department along with the quarterly actions for 2004.
The public is encouraged to listen to the staff presentation at the meeting and comment either by phone, fax or e-mail.
They can also attend the following meeting on Monday April 19 and take part in the question and answer period, which kicks off every council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Council and staff can answer questions and receive comments at that time but will not engage in a debate.
The budget will most likely be considered for first, second and third readings at the Monday, May 3 meeting. It must be adopted by May 15.
