Allsop makes move to Whistler-Blackcomb

Whistler-Blackcomb has announced the appointment of a new Public Relations and Communications manager. Christina Allsop, most recently the Director of Communications for Whistler’s annual Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival, will join the Whistler-Blackcomb team on July 12.

Allsop has extensive snowsport industry experience and has promoted Whistler Resort for the last six years. The majority of this time was spent working with W1, the event marketing company responsible for producing the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival. As Director of Communications, she was responsible for overseeing marketing and communications for the event, and previously spent two and a half years as Public Relations Manager.

Prior to working with W1, Allsop held public relations roles with the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Toronto-based OverCat Communications, and the Sutton Place Hotel, also in Toronto.

"We’re excited to welcome Christina to the team," said Stuart Rempel, vice president sales & marketing at Whistler-Blackcomb. "Her close connection to the resort and her relationships and experience gathered through working with the festival will be a huge asset to Whistler-Blackcomb."

"I’m very much looking forward to continuing my work with the snow industry media in my role at Whistler-Blackcomb," commented Allsop. "I have enjoyed my work in Whistler to date immensely and look forward to the new challenges ahead."
