Students from Grades 1 to 7 will start school on Sept. 7 th for an hour or so, and full days thereafter. Kindergarten kids will start on the 13 th of September, mornings only, for the first week at our schools in Pemberton, Whistler and Squamish. Parents may call the school for more information.
Parents will also be responsible for picking up their kindergarten children after school for that first week. By the 20 th of September they will be coming to school for full days.
For the Whistler students, bus services will be the same as for S.D. 48, published in the paper last week. For lEcole La Passerelle students living in Emerald and Alpine, bus route 11, "Brians bus", will pick-up the children and a transfer will be necessary at the Whistler Secondary School, catching route 13A, "Eds bus". The Tapleys Farm area will be serviced by Eds bus or route 13A as well. Students will board the bus on Highway 99 until further notice. The school will be phoning the affected families before school starts next week.
The French school has a new principal, Mr. Michel Tardif of Prince George. Mr. Tardif will be directing the three francophone schools of the Sea to Sky corridor. The newly acquired school in Pemberton at Signal Hill will see over 20 students for the beginning of the school year. Welcome and good luck Mr. Tardif.
