The median age of the population will increase from 40.7 to 45.6 years. The major factor driving population growth over this period will be migration to British Columbia. International migration will account for 75.8 per cent of the population gain, followed by inter-provincial migration at 18.4 per cent and natural increase (births minus deaths) at about 5.8 per cent.
