Blackcomb Mountain to stay open until May 27

Opening extended as spring conditions continue

Whistler Blackcomb is extending skiing and boarding on Blackcomb Mountain until May 27.

"Whistler Blackcomb is lucky to boast one of the longest ski seasons in North America," said Stuart Rempel, senior vice-president of marketing and sales at Whistler Blackcomb in making the announcement.

Whistler will close as scheduled on April 21.

Starting April 22, Blackcomb Mountain will open at 10 a.m. each day, guests can aprs a little harder the afternoon before, and have some extra time to sleep in the morning.

Guests can ski Blackcomb Mountain for $65 at the ticket window after April 21or ski for the rest of the 2012/13 season with the SPF Spring Unlimited Pass for only $229.

A $199 down payment allows guests to lock in the 2013/2014 Adult Unlimited Season Pass rate of $1,330, and ski or ride for the remainder of the spring.

Unlimited skiing/riding for the rest of the 2013 season is available for $79 with the purchase of a five or ten day 2013/2014 Edge Card, available for $355 and $639 respectively.
