Funk and R&B musician Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires are headlining yoga festival Wanderlust in a free concert at Whistler Olympic Plaza on Saturday, Aug. 5.
Bradley rose to fame following the release of his debut album No Time For Dreaming in 2011. His most recent album Changes was released in 2016.
He has previously performed regionally at the Pemberton Music Festival. Also performing at Wanderlust Whistler, which takes place from Aug. 3 to 6, are Elijah Ray, Con Brio and Khruangbin.

40th anniversary of The Answer celebrated
The Answer, Whistler's late celebrated monthly creative journal, is being celebrated 40 years after its founding with a party at The Point Artist-Run Centre on Saturday, April 1.
The journal ran until 1980, with a brief resurrection in 1991-92.
In a release, organizer Stephen Vogler says the celebration also honours that "the spirit that informed (The Answer) lives on in today's creative community."
Local improv actors will depict scenes from Whistler's history; there will also be readings from the irreverent journal.
Former publisher of The Answer, Charlie Doyle, will MC.

Lil'wat Nation book sells out at launch
A new resource book, Gifts of the Land: Lil'wat Botanical Resources, was launched on Feb. 27 in Mount Currie and took just 45 minutes to sell out its 100-copy first-print run.
The 400-page book explores traditional foods and medicines of the Lil'wat Nation, with input by many elders in the First Nations community. The book was edited by Tonya Smith.
A second printing is currently in the works and will be available at the Lilwat7ul Culture Centre in Mount Currie.
Both the Squamish-Lil'wat Cultural Centre and Arts Whistler have expressed an interest in carrying the book in Whistler. Information will be available on the Lil'wat Nation Facebook page.
New Squamish gallery event
The work of 11 Squamish and Vancouver artists will be profiled at New Planets, an art and music show at The Ledge Community Coffee House from March 24 to 31.
"Contemporary arts and culture are under-represented in Squamish, and the New Planets show aims to present an exciting coalescence of music and art in a sociable environment," organizer Steward Hughes of Versatile Gallery said in a release.
The opening event takes place on Friday, March 24 at 8 p.m. There will be a $5 cover charge.
