Pemberton high school rockers Transmission Party took home bragging rights as the winners of the 2007 Equifest Battle of the Bands last Saturday at Rohan Stables in Pemberton. Transmission Party’s original set won over an enthusiastic crowd and the Crowd Favourite Category as well. Whistler hip hoppers Animal Nation took second with their clever lyrics, and the father and son duo Bryce and Steve St. Arnaud finished third with their reggae-styling acoustic set. Cash and music merchandise prizes were awarded. Stay tuned for next year’s battle.
