Election debate date set

First debate set for Nov. 7

Voters: mark your calendars.

The date for the main forum for public debate in November's election has been set.

The Whistler Chamber of Commerce will hold its all candidates meeting on Monday Nov. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event will take place at Millennium Place.

In addition to mayoral and council candidates, school board trustees will also be in attendance. The forum is designed as a moderated panel with prepared questions as well as question from the audience.

In years past the Whistler Arts Council and the Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA) have also held all candidates meetings.

For the second election in a row however WORCA will not be holding a forum for election debate. The arts council has yet to confirm a date.
