Squamish RCMP have charged 41-year-old Neil Mattson with possession of explosives and possession of stolen property as well as several motor vehicle act charges following the discovery of a quantity of explosives in the community last week.

The Squamish resident was scheduled to appear in provincial court in North Vancouver on Feb. 22.
