Sex at Sea, a new play by Vancouver writer Brian Kaufman, is debuting at the Flag Stop Theatre & Arts Festival.

The short drama is about a dysfunctional couple that tries to manipulate each other, says actress Susan Hutchinson.

"An older woman comes into a lot of money and has decided to go off on an big adventure on a sailboat and she wants to take her escort with her. It's a push-me, pull-me kind of dance between the two of them," she says.

The play co-stars Brandon Barrett and is directed by Stephen Vogler. It will take place on a floating stage on Alta Lake.

The two-day festival has music, improv, food and more, and takes place at the Point Artist-Run Centre on Friday, Aug. 7 and Saturday, Aug. 8. For more information and tickets visit www.thepointartists.com.
