What happens when you take two drum ’n’ bass musicians with seemingly mismatched socks of hip hop, house and dancehall side projects and pair them with a folk rock singer-songwriter whose experiment with dance music resulted in a Juno nomination?
Not the makings of a bad joke, or so hoped producer Freaky Flow, who went out on a ledge to bring together three drastically different musicians, and united them under the new musical fusion of The Heavy Petters who are coming to Whistler Friday, Oct. 27 at Moe Joe’s.
The Canada tour introduces the experimental trio of Gremilnz, Mutt and Lisa Swain along with the debut of the group’s new self-titled album, featuring vocalists such as Choclair, Caddy Cad, YLooK and others.
Tickets are $5.
