The Delta Whistler Resort is expected to join the Hilton chain and then be renovated for sale to the general public by the end of April.

The Delta Whistler Resort is expected to join the Hilton chain and then be renovated for sale to the general public by the end of April.

The deal is still being finalized between Hilton and the owners of the Delta Whistler Resort, but the individual apartments are expected to sell for between $250,000 and $1 million each.

The sale is a high profile one because the Delta Whistler Resort has 288 rooms and is situated only a minute from the base of the Whistler Village Gondola along the Whistler Village Stroll.

The Whistler Real Estate Company has set up a small office inside the Delta and it is expected to be up and running within the next week.

Whistler Real Estate has also started advertising the sale and the Web site, www.yourotherlife.com

The apartments are expected to remain with a phase two covenant, which means the owners will be permitted to stay in them for 56 days a year.

The rest of the time the space will be rented and the profits divided between the owners.

There are several prominent firms involved in the sale including Goldman Sachs, which is one of the world’s leading investment banking and management firms.
