Smallman band, big sound

The Western Canada tour of Ghosts of Modern Man with Anatta lands in Whistler on Sunday, Nov. 19 at Garfinkel’s as part of Punk Night.

The Smallman Records artists deliver shows of unbridled fury and energy with post-hardcore tracks.

Ghosts of Modern Man takes pride in the inspired, honest and direct music they make. Chris Nelson of Much Music raved, “They are the best of Sparta meets the best of Mars Volta.” Chart Magazine praised, “Regina’s Ghost of Modern Man play indie rock the way Pete Rose used to play baseball: fast, loose and forever on the edge of the rules.

Anatta also springs from the freshly frozen streets of Regina, Saskatchewan. Still cutting its teeth, the band’s birth in indie rock is famous at home for its dance-rock sounds — music they hope to spread to the masses with more tours in sight.

Mothra will warm the crowds up before the Regina bands invade. Cover is $5.
