Swingtime in Whistler Village

The streets of Whistler will groove to jazz, blues and swing rhythms this weekend.

Three live bands will be performing at various locations throughout the Village Stroll.

On the roster is lesismore - a jazz ensemble from the Lower Mainland, rockabilly swingster Cousin Harley and the Simon Stribling Quartet.

The Suburban Swing dance troupe will also be showing off their retro-cool moves.

The weekend’s street entertainment also includes a visit from the Rock Paper Scissors improv troupe.

The event kicks off at 8 p.m. at the Backcountry Adventure Lodge. Tickets are $45. The evening is a fundraiser for the Pemberton Centennial Rotary Club. For more information call 604-894-3310.
