National Novel Writing Month
Sat., Nov. 10, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 2012
The Squamish Public Library is inviting writers to join National Novel Writing Month, the world’s largest writing challenge. The library is supporting NaNoWriMo — a nonprofit event that encourages kids and adults to tackle the challenge of writing a 50,000-word novel in one month — by offering a space for participants to work on their masterpiece and meet other writers.
The challenge goes from Nov. 1 to 30. Author Margreet Dietz is participating for the third time. She wrote the first draft for her book From my Mother during NaNoWriMo 2010. Bring your laptop and/or notepad and join Dietz at the Squamish Public Library to complete your daily word count together.
