Jackie Hildering is known as 'The Marine Detective' and she was the winner of the Vancouver Aquarium’s 2010 Murray A. Newman Award for Excellence in Aquatic Conservation. Her first talk in the series is called Big Gulp! The Comeback of Humpback Whales. Jackie will share the natural history of these baleen behemoths, including their feeding strategies, and discuss her ID and entanglement research for the Marine Education and Research Society.
