Whistler Secondary school has a new vice-principal.
Lisa Bartlett was appointed by the Sea to Sky School Board earlier this week and will start her new job right away.
Bartlett's experience positions her well for her new role. Most recently she was principal of Brackendale Elementary during the principal's one-year leave of absence.
Her school level experience started with an assignment as a secondary school teacher in Cranbrook, B.C. and was followed by work as a middle school teacher in Canmore, Alberta.
Bartlett's district level experience in Canmore included three years as a District Coordinator: Professional Development, Educational Technology, School Improvement and French Language.
Prior to coming to the Sea to Sky corridor, she was an elementary vice principal in Canmore.
In September 2006, Bartlett was appointed vice principal at Signal Hill Elementary, in Pemberton.
In addition to her VP duties at WSS, Bartlett will continue to serve as the Sea to Sky School District's Coordinator - French Immersion, and Chair of SD 48's Education Technology Planning Committee.
Academically, Bartlett earned a Master of Education Degree at the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Education Degree, Universite Laval.
