Let someone else drive on your next summer getaway to Tofino, with a new shuttle service to the popular vacation destination departing from the village daily.
Ridebooker.com launched the service Saturday, April 26 and is currently gauging customer interest before booking the first trip, according to customer service representative Jericho Shone.
Buses will depart from the village at 5 a.m. daily, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m, arriving at the Tofino Bus Depot. Customers can choose from one of over 50 departure points in the resort, covering all of Whistler's hotels.
The seven-and-a-half hour trip to Tofino, with a transfer in Nanaimo, will cost $115, or $75 for children aged six to 12. The service is free for those four and under. Departures from Tofino to Whistler leave at 10:30 a.m. daily.
Ridebooker has also added additional service to Horseshoe Bay, departing from Whistler at 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. daily, for $62, or $30 for children six to 12. Shuttles from the ferry terminal to the resort depart three times daily, at 9:50 a.m., 5:50 p.m. and 9:50 p.m.
