No epitaph on the horizon for Headstones

Who: The Headstones, with Honeysuckle Serontina

What: The Snow Scene Extreme Sport Series Concerts

Where: The Boot Pub

When: Saturday, Dec. 14

The Headstones have never been recognized for their grace and finesse at playing nicely in the sandbox. They’ve kept to themselves, content to build a loyal legion of fans instead of stroking the egos of fellow musicians or industry. With their hard-hitting lyrics, and feverishly infectious music they are one heck of a charismatic stage presence.

Through five albums, break-ups, bus trashings, drug problems, jailings, and pretty much every other band-threatening scenario, the Headstones have honed a particular sound that has carved them a place in the annals of CanRock history.

Their back with a brand new album, The Oracle Of Hi-Fi. Lead vocalist, Hugh Dillon, guitarist Trent Carr, bassist Tim White and drummer Dale Harrison are throwing caution to the wind and dirt in the eyes of any disbelievers – this is the Headstones.

Tickets are $23 and for that you also get the Vancouver-based explosive and raw punk rockers Honeysuckle Serontina. $1 from every ticket sold goes to the Province Empty Stocking Fund. Call the Snow Scene Extreme Sport Concert hotline on 604-938-2769.
