The RMOW is holding an Official Community Plan update workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at the Whistler Conference Centre, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This is an opportunity for community members to review OCP-update materials and to ask questions of municipal staff in an open house format. There will also be a brief presentation about the OCP update, as well as small table discussions on Whistler's proposed updates to existing policy and proposed changes to the community's direction.
This is the second step in a three-step process before the first draft of the OCP is written. Following this workshop, the RMOW will hold working group meetings where community members will work on specific policy directions as they relate to such issues as transportation and land use, among others. These will run up until Christmas.
The first draft of the OCP update will be delivered to council for approval by April or May, 2011.
