Paradata Systems announces new board members

Shannon Byrne, president and CEO of Paradata Systems Inc. has announced the appointment of Steve Elefant as executive chairman of Paradata’s board and Jeff Marcous as its director.

Elefant is a distinguished early pioneer in the creation of eCommerce, while Marcous is a 13-year veteran of the merchant bank card industry and is currently president of the Utah based ISO, Dynamic Payment Solutions.

Paradata Systems Inc. was founded in 1995 and headquartered in Whistler as on of North America’s leading Innovative Internet Payment Service companies. The company has also applied its expertise in software development, security technology and transaction processing to fill a niche in Internet payments both card present and card-not-present solutions.

Tourism Whistler announces new director of sales

Tourism Whistler has appointed Fiona Crowther as director of sales, overseeing both the leisure and meetings market segments for the organization.

As head of Tourism Whistler's sales team, Crowther will oversee the strategic direction and implementation of sales programs within North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America in order to drive individual and group travel to the resort.

Crowther has 15 years of progressive sales experience in the tourism field, including senior sales roles in Europe, the United States and Canada, as well as experience in the cruise-line, hotel, business travel, airline operations and car rental industries.

Crowther, who replaces Roz Casey, joins the Tourism Whistler senior leadership team, consisting of: Diane Mombourquette, Vice President, Finance and Operations; Arlene Schieven, Vice President, Marketing; and Derek Gagne, Director, Human Resources.
