The tent campground for the Pemberton Music Festival is completely sold out, organizers have announced.

There are still spaces available for RV camping at the festival, which takes place from July 14 to 17.

Organizers fielded dozens of questions and a few unhappy comments on its social media sites after making the announcement on Thursday, April 28.

One commentator said that the speed of ticket sales could have been down to the cancellation of this summer’s Squamish Valley Music Festival.

Organizers couldn’t confirm if the 2016 campground passes sold out more quickly than in 2015.

New for 2016, instead of campers purchasing individual camping passes, they were sold per campsite and are meant to accommodate up to four people.

Camping passes were available to purchase with a festival ticket.

Early-bird festival tickets sold out in January; general tickets went on sale at the beginning of April.

Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg and J. Cole are headlining the Pemberton Music Festival this year.

Parking at the festival site is limited to campers.

The festival stated on Facebook: “There is absolutely no parking on-site if you are not a camper. If you are staying with locals in the area, you can have them get you a locals ticket then take the shuttle in the village of Pemberton to the festival.”

There are also shuttle passes available to take festivalgoers from Whistler to Pemberton throughout the weekend.
