Photographer Polek Rybczynski is holding a signing for his book of images from Pemberton, Valley of Light.

It takes place at Armchair Books on Friday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m.

Rybczynski took it on as a passion project in 2014, with the aim of shooting one photograph per day around the Pemberton Valley, and spent 2015 turning the results into a coffee table book.

He self-published the book, which was funded thanks to crowd funding on Indiegogo.

The latest workshop is Connecting With People Not Customers, which takes place at the Maury Young Arts Centre on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m.

Looking at social media strategy, it explores how branding builds relationships and connects with people who respond to individual messages.

Learn how brand storytelling generates new customers, drives customer loyalty, and creates brand ambassadors. Discover what your brand story is and use it to gain online credibility, engage with people and increase conversions.

Find out why presentation matters and how you can become an authority in your industry.

Marketing and creative strategist Virginia-Rae Choquette will talk about the development of traditional and digital marketing and how it has changed over the course of her 12-year career.

Tickets are $35 or $25 for Arts Whistler members.
