Police are investigating the resort's second stabbing in 24 hours after a 19-year-old suffered multiple wounds in an attack late Sunday night, May 17.

The incident was reported just before midnight on Whistler Way.

The victim, who police have not identified, was taken to the local medical clinic and is currently in Vancouver for treatment.

The attack comes less than a day after another 19-year-old man was killed in a stabbing early Sunday morning outside of the Marketplace IGA. Police said "there is nothing to indicate" the incidents are related.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
