Police are hoping to track down a group of tourists who may have further information about a May 31 collision near Pemberton that killed three people.

Investigators are looking to speak with the three occupants of a black Jeep Cherokee who happened on the scene of the accident and may have stopped to offer assistance, police said.

The witnesses, who were vacationing from Ireland and on their way to Sun Peaks at the time, are described as an older male and female married couple accompanied by a female relative.

“We are hoping that, through social media and this news release, someone will be able to connect us with the three visitors from Cork, Ireland,” said Cpl. Ronda Rempel with BC RCMP Traffic Services in a release.

RCMP has "dedicated a significant number of resources" to the investigation into the HIghway 99 crash that killed Whistler's Ross Chafe and Kelly Blunden, and Pemberton's Paul Pierre Jr., a passenger in the vehicle that struck the two cyclists.

Although police believe the driver may have been impaired at the time of the crash, charges have yet to be laid.

Rempel told Pique last month she was unsure if a blood-alcohol test was administered following the accident, saying, "I don't know anything about any alcohol testing at this point in relation to the driver."

Court documents obtained by CBC found that the driver had a suspended license and at least three prior impaired driving convictions. Pique has chosen not to name him as no charges have been laid.

Anyone who has information about the Irish visitors is asked to contact Cpl. Elizabeth Lynn of Sea to Sky Traffic Services at 604-815-8261 and reference police file No. 2015-3228.
