Whistler RCMP have released a composite sketch of a suspect in an attempted robbery of a cold beer and wine store on April 29 at 10:35 p.m.
According to the RCMP,a white male aged 20 to 25 with a brown buzz cut entered the store on Blackcomb Way with a green plaid scarf pulled over his face, and eye holes cut into the fabric. He had a knife in each hand and told the clerk in a British accent that it was a robbery.
The clerk thought it was a friend playing a joke and pulled the thief's scarf down. That's when he realized he did not know the person, and a scuffle ensued. The clerk put the would-be thief into a headlock before pushing him out of the store.
The thief took off along Blackcomb Way.
If you think you recognize the suspect in the sketch or have any information on the case, contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
