Preaching from the pulpit of punk this week at Our Lady of the Boot Pub is Halifax punk threesome Shyne Factory.
Here today-gone tomorrow rock bands are a dime a dozen in the basements of suburbs across this nation, rarer are those groups with anything approaching a history.
The boys from Shyne Factory have been rocking the East Coast with their crunchy riffs and basic hard style for more than a decade. They chalked up their fourth album, Hell or High-water, this past June, and should be ready to show Whistler whats so special its worth driving across not only the Canadian Shield, but the Prairies and the Western Cordillera to play.
Kicking the night off will be fellow East Coasters Dionisus, whose indie-rock aural assault should be a hit with the energetic Punk Night crowd grateful for their weekly break from the processed pop and R&B that has managed to otherwise creep into all aspects of mainstream existence. Tickets $5 at the door.
