ResortQuest International – which includes Whistler Chalets and Whistler Exclusive Property Management – has announced a travel marketing agreement with America Online.

ResortQuest International – which includes Whistler Chalets and Whistler Exclusive Property Management – has announced a travel marketing agreement with America Online.

ResortQuest is one of the first brand names in the vacation condominium and home rental business, with a portfolio of properties in key resorts throughout North America. The deal with America Online will see the company become a premier sponsor of a new vacation rentals area on the Travel Channels of several America Online brands.

ResortQuest’s newly-formed technology division will be creating a special version of its on-line central reservations site for more than 18,000 of its rental properties for use by AOL and CompuServe members as well as visitors to AOL.COM, Netscape.com and AOL digital City.

The co-branded online reservations site will offer "virtual tours" of individual rental units and real-time on-line booking capability.

The agreement is expected to increase ResortQuest’s audience by 29 million AOL and CompuServe members, plus tens of millions of additional users of America Online’s web brands.

"We are one of the only vacation rental companies in the industry with a broad-based, real-time booking capability and technological capability to deliver inventory to the major travel portals," said ResortQuest chairman, president and CEO, David Levine.

"We view this agreement as a breakthrough."
