Routley strong in time trial champs

Whistler’s Will Routley was just 42 seconds back of a top-10 finish in the B.C. Time Trials championships in Squamish on Aug. 19, finishing ahead of more than 50 other riders in a challenging field.

Whistler’s Will Routley was just 42 seconds back of a top-10 finish in the B.C. Time Trials championships in Squamish on Aug. 19, finishing ahead of more than 50 other riders in a challenging field.

His final time of 52 minutes, 29 seconds over the 37 km course was just over four minutes behind Matt Usborne’s time of 48:15. Min Van Velzen was second in 49:28, followed by John Tolkamp in 49:46. Usborne and Velzen both race for Team Symmetrics, and worked together to claim the top two spots.

The women’s title went to Leah Goldstein in 51:54, followed by Pamela Egger in 56:39 and Moriah McGregor in 56:41.
