ResortQuest Whistler has become a locally owned and operated
company after several years of U.S. corporate ownership.
Paul Sanderson has purchased the property rental management company, which is the largest accommodation provider in Whistler.
“I am delighted at purchasing ResortQuest Whistler as we enter
a period of growth leading to and beyond the 2010 Olympics,” Sanderson said.
“We are looking forward to bringing positive change to the company in a variety
of key areas with the emphasis on local management delivering outstanding
service to guests, owners and employees alike.”
ResortQuest Whistler provides sales, marketing and check-in facilities
to guests and owners through 10 lodges and over 750 properties in Whistler.
Though now independent, ResortQuest Whistler will retain its
name and logo and continue to work with and develop revenue opportunities with
a number of partners, including ResortQuest International.
ResortQuest International was formed several years ago when
Whistler Chalets and 11 other founding property management companies in resorts
across North America joined forces. ResortQuest International acquired all the
common stock and ownership interests of the 12 founding companies and became a
