What: A GREAT BIG THING Join local choirs for a fundraiser concert called ‘A Great Big Thing.’ Admission is by donation to the local Food Bank. Don’t miss out on this chance to see three local choirs – the Whistler Children’s Chorus, the Whistler Singers and the Pembertunes – perform together for the first time ever.

What: BABYTIMES Parents will be taught action rhymes and songs to share with their babies as well as some basic baby sign language. Classes are for parents with babies from birth to walking age and involve focused interaction with the child. Babytimes will run from Oct. 15 to Nov. 5. For more information call 604-932-5564.

What: WINE’D UP The Whistler Search and Rescue Society is holding their 6th annual Winemakers’ Gourmet Dinner and Auction. Tickets are $125. Call 604-935-3434. All proceeds go to Whistler Search and Rescue. This event has raised more than $85,000 for the Whistler Search and Rescue Society over the years.

What: BLACK BEAR PRESENTATION Local black bear researcher Michael Allen is talking about black bear behaviour and indentification at an upcoming presentation.
